Annual Patient Events
Give Kids a Smile and Vision for the Future Day
On April 24th CVIM will conduct the 16th Annual Give Kids a Smile and Vision for the Future Day. Children, ages 1–18 will receive free comprehensive dental care and free vision screenings, all thanks to the compassionate hearts of many local professionals. The event will be held at the Pediatric Dental Care & Orthodontics offices in Grays Woods where their dentists and orthodontist will be joined by other local dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants to provide care to uninsured children. Exams, cleanings, fillings and more will all be provided for free at this one day event.
Dr. Marla Moon and the staff of Nittany Eye Associates Grays Woods provide vision screenings and additional vision care as needed. Volunteers will be on hand to register children and hand out goodie bags with toothbrushes, toothpaste, sunglasses and educational information. CVIM would like to thank the State College Kiwanis for their support of Give Kids a Smile and their dedication to children’s oral health.
Albrect Audiology is offering vouchers for the children to come to their facility for free hearing screenings as well.
If your child is currently having a dental issue do not wait until this event. Contact CVIM at 231-4043.
CVIM would also like to thank these partners for Give Kids A Smile Day: Colgate, Henry-Dental, Vision Benefits of America, and Dick Erdley - Harris Township Lions Club for their generous support.
A Successful Health Screening Day at CVIM
On November 15, 2018, CVIM in conjunction with Mount Nittany Health held a free Health Screening in honor of Diabetes Awareness Month. Attendees were given advice on adopting a healthy lifestyle in addition to medical and dental tests:

Providers and their staffs expressed their pleasure with being able to help our patients. And the patients were most grateful for the services provided. Of the 33 participants, six patients without medical insurance or with a family member who needed our services were identified.
