Your Investment, Our Community, CVIM’s Commitment to a Healthier Centre County
Providing free health care is not free, and so we must fundraise. As a true free clinic, we receive no Federal dollars, occasional grant dollars through the state, and even fewer dollars from Centre County government.
Join us in making a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of our community by supporting Centre Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM). Your generous contributions help us extend a healing hand to those in need, ensuring that no one in our community has to face health challenges alone.
Ways to Donate
-
An online or check donation can maximize your charitable deduction and offer CVIM immediate assistance. You can make a gift online or by mailing a check to 2026 Sandy Drive State College, PA 16803
-
Gifts of appreciated stock may allow you to make a larger gift to CVIM. If your stocks have appreciated in value, you can avoid additional capital gain tax by donating to CVIM. You may also be eligible for an income tax charitable deduction for the total fair market value of the stocks. For more information about donating stocks or property, please get in touch with Becky Schrope by calling 814-231-4043 or by email at bschrope@cvim.net

Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) are helpful for a strategic and flexible approach to giving. By leveraging DAFs, donors can maximize their tax benefits while directing funds to support vital healthcare services at the clinic.
-
For those looking to make a tax-efficient contribution, donating through Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) provides an excellent option. Utilizing the Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) allows donors aged 70½ or older to contribute directly from their IRAs, reducing their taxable income while supporting the clinic's mission.

Corporate partnerships play a pivotal role in strengthening community healthcare. Donors employed by companies with gift-matching programs can double the impact of their contributions. By taking advantage of corporate gift matches, individuals can amplify their support
